Ogun lawmaker’s mother abducted



Mrs Racheal Hazzan, 65, mother of the lawmaker representing Odogbolu State constituency in the Ogun state House of Assembly, Pastor Remmy Hazzan was reportedly kidnapped last night by yet to be identified gunmen.

In a telephone chat with our correspondent Thursday morning, the aspirant of the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of Labour Party disclosed that his mother was kidnapped at her Omu Ijebu residence in Odogbolu local government area of the state.
He claimed that his mother was kidnapped on Wednesday around 8:00 p.m., adding that, he was informed about the incident by the victim’s neighbour.
“I saw my mum’s missed call when I came back from church last night and I called back and we spoke till around eight o’clock in the night only to receive a call some minutes later from her neighbour that she has been abducted,” the lawmaker stated.
When our correspondent contacted the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on phone, he confirmed the incident, saying that the lawmaker had notified him of the development.
Adejobi gave the assurance that the police would adopt proactive measures to unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged kidnap of the woman and would ensure her safe recovery from her abductors.
