Gov Aliyu reshuffles cabinet



Following the resignation of five members of his cabinet, Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State on Friday named supervisory commissioners to replace those that quit the state executive council two weeks ago.



The state’s Commissioner for Information, Danladi Ndayebo who disclosed this at the post Executive Council meeting press briefing, said he now supervises the Ministry of Environment, Parks, Gardens and Forest Resources.

According to him, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Prof. Muhammed Kuta Yahaya will supervise the Ministry of Tertiary Education.

The Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Joshua Bawa is to take over the Science and Technology ministry.

The Commissioner for Youth Development, Alhaji Abubakar Garba Mohammed, will oversee the portfolio of the Commissioner of Sports, while the Commissioner of Health and Hospital Services, Hajiya Hadiza Abdullahi coordinate activities in the Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development.
