Sahara Reporters fingers pastor Ayo Oritsejafor in $9.3 million South African arms smuggling deal

Christian Association of Nigeria President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has been linked to the arms smuggling jet caught by South African authorities on Monday 15 September.

Online news platform, SaharaReporters claims that investigations have linked the flamboyant pastor who is a close friend of President Goodluck Jonathan to smuggling of arms.

South African police began investigating two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen who tried to bring $9.3 million in cash into the country illegally, a spokesman said on Monday.

There were suspicions that the money could be meant for arms. The Nigerians, coming from Abuja, were not identified, according to a report by Reuters.

The plane, a Bombardier Challenger 600, had a Nigerian flight crew on board. It was piloted by Captain Tunde Ojongbede, according to City Press.

Adrian Lackay, spokesperson for the SA Revenue Service (Sars), confirmed that customs officers became suspicious when the passengers’ luggage was unloaded and put through the scanners just after 7pm. The officers then investigated and found three suitcases full of cash.

The passengers apparently told officials they were acting on behalf of the Nigerian intelligence service.

They provided documentation confirming they had come to South Africa to buy weapons. It is not clear whether the Israeli passenger was an intelligence operative or an arms dealer.

  3. Woe unto those who want to discredit the exalted office of the CAN president. For umpteenth times have seen how the descendent of the bond woman cast aspersions on this office. They have forgotten that the worst thing that has ever happened to the world is the existence of the religion from Saudi Arabia. In any part of the world they has caused a lot of harm than God. I desire that the religion be outlawed.

  5. Fellow Nigerians, let us ask ourselves what is the business of the CAN president in buying of arms for the nation or is he involved in money laundering for the politicians and why is it that the jet used to carry the money belongs to the CAN president? Something is wrong somewhere.

  6. This is really a pitiful situation for Nigeria as a Nation.

Now the Cat is let out of the bag!!!!!

CAN with Oritsejafor as their president (including Pastor EA Adeboye et al) according to the tenets of the Bible are suppose to be the conscience of the masses, the people, and indeed the society at large.

How can those who should be the conscience of the society now be the ones owning (or being part owners) of exclusive business ventures that only the likes of the Government can patronize.

Imagine someone whose Church policy is absolute abstinence from either attending, participating or even officiating in a wedding involving couples that have not only been involved in premarital sex but also having pregnancy before wedding. This same person now makes exceptions for "Ogas at the Top". When confronted with the fact, he claims being deceived into participating whereas he always claims he is always in tune with the same Holy Spirit. Is this not a big irony....

It is obvious to those sensitive to the Holy Spirit, that majority of these men of God have already failed the second temptation of Jesus Christ whom they claim to be their Master.

They are being rewarded by the devil as he promised same Jesus Christ in the second temptation and ironically they are claiming and giving testimonies that "It's The Lord's Doing and It's Marvelous in their pitiful eyes".

CAN and the Majority of the Pentecostal Churches have failed Nigeria as a Country.

CAN and the Majority of the Pentecostal Churches are indeed very very sick and that is why the sickness of this beloved Nation is worsening day by day.

This is now the Hour of the Elijahs for our dear Nation Nigeria. Alas o Lord, you maker of Heaven and Earth and everyone inhabiting it, majority of your priests have failed the people of this your beloved Nation Nigeria, help us now to raise the Prophets that are required for this our hour of need. IJN. Amen.
