APC frustrating efforts to solve the problem of Boko Haram – PDP

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Wednesday alleged that the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, the leadership of the party and the party structure were frustrating efforts by the Federal government to nip in the bud, the lingering cases of Boko Haram insurgency with many killed regularly and property worth millions of naira destroyed.

In a statement yesterday by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, the PDP also accused the APC of a party made up of desperate politicians who support violence in all it’s ramifications.

Metuh described the statement by the leadership of APC on statement by Australian, Dr. Stephen Davis as completely lacking in validity, character and intellectual content befitting of a Chairman of a political national party.

The PDP Spokesperson said, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has noted yet another failed image laundering stunt by the APC wherein its National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun cheapened his office and person by attempting to use an unempirical statement by Australian Dr. Stephen Davis, to absolve his party of blames for promoting insurgency in the country.

“Whilst we recognize the right of citizens to hold and canvass opinion in a democratic setting such as guaranteed under the PDP-led administration, we hold, and strongly too that such rights must be properly and respectably exercised.

“It is therefore shocking and worrisome that the APC National Chairman, in a frenzied effort to extricate his party. Oyegun’s statement rather than exonerate the APC has reinforced and underscored its true identity as a party of desperate politicians supportive of violence and disunity through their utterances and body language, a fact that is already well known to all Nigerians.

  2. Metuh, give us evidence that what the Australian mediator the govt hired is not true. Give us evidence that the govt never hired him. If so call him to other through his govt. You are fighting the wrong battle, the Apc is only saying investigate what has been said. You guys thinks Nigerians are daft cos we have not made moves toward asking the Govt some questions. Revolution is coming. Wait and see,God will fight for us soon judgement is coming on all of you both the high and the mighty. Watch out.

  3. Is this all you have to say concerning APC allegations?

Why is El rufai not yet arrested for questioning? since PDP led government claims his a sponsor.

Why is Buhari not taken into custody or arrested? As acclaimed BH patron?

What is the PDP led government going to do concerning accusations against Alimodu sheriff?

How is it possible for insurgents to kidnap 200 girls in a town that a state of emergency was already declared?

All the money budgeted for Nigeria Army running to billions of Naira, how was it utilised?

Service Chiefs had been changed over and over again why are we not getting result?

Is the opposition APC more powerful than the PDP led government that up till now none of them is found guilty of sponsoring BH? Or is this a mere accusations or just lies.

Has BH already infiltrated GEJ administration or PDP?

Is BH a ploy to smear GEJ led administration and make the country un govern able ? If yes, what is head of armed forces doing about it? By letting the extremist have there ways?

    Or
Is BH a ploy to win 2015 by rendering the North useless so that little or no vote will emanate from there.

All these needs to be really addressed if we are really sincere with ourselves in this country. You can fool some pple sometimes but you can't fool all the pple all the time.

    Mark.
