Buhari, Tinubu meet behind closed doors in Kaduna

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, met with former Head of State, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.) in Kaduna on Tuesday evening.

The two leaders, a source told our correspondent, met behind closed doors for several hours at the Sultan Close residence of the former Nigerian leader.

Accompanied by a few loyalists, the former governor of Lagos State, after the meeting, declined to speak with journalists.

He shook hands with the journalists and left Buhari’s residence.

The source, who craved anonymity, said the meeting might not be unconnected with the recent attempt on the life of Buhari in Kaduna, a development that had continued to attract dignitaries to the state capital on sympathy visit.

Also, the former Head of State on his part, declined to speak to journalists on the visit.

A former Interim Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, and the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Lai Muhammed, were among the chiefs of the party that were on Tinubu’s entourage.
