I have access to Boko Haram - Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said on Thursday that he could reach out to the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, over the abduction of more than 200 schoolgirls by the sect, but regretted that the Federal Government had yet to give him the go ahead.

Obasanjo,in an interview on the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation, monitored in Kaduna, said he had a communication link with the sect, expressing the fears that the more than 200 abducted girls might never return again.

He said the terror group might release some of the girls that might be pregnant and finding it difficult to cater for the babies in the forest.

He noted that the girls might have been divided into groups and not likely to be at the same location.

The former President said, “I believe that some of them will never return. We will still be hearing about them many years from now. Some willgive birth, but if they cannot take care of them in the forest, they may be released.”

The Chibok girls are two days short of two months in captivity, with the captors defying a global campaign for their release.

    1. You are not making sense, now tell if OBJ's daughter were amongst the chibok girls, are u saying he will still sit and wait for FG's order, meanwhile not forgetting that OBJ is part of the FG. Anyone that wants to help don't need GEJ to come and boot lick them, especially big wits politicians, if OBJ wants attention from GEJ he should use another strategy not talking rubbish. OBJ is now loosing his mind because he has totally lost control of GEJ, he should go to hell!

    2. Then OBJ should publish in the media where he approached the presidency that he's capable of releasing the girls and FG turned it down. Please educated people reason with your brain, they are not for fancy. As we all know OBJ's latest style is to write to the president and also publish it, twice he has done that, so what has changed this time? he should show us evidence of the letter he wrote to president announcing himself the messiah but was turned down, or probably they had a private meeting or even a telephone call? because i don't believe he mentioned he could do the job and the presidency didn't give him go ahead. old fool telling lies and talking rubbish.

    3. I kept wondering the kinds of half educated our institution kept rolling out, why cant someone reason straight without any sentimental attachment?
Am not here to admonished or advocate for anybody/party but lets face the fact without bring in bigotsm or tribalism.
Has anyone (so called anonymous) forget when OBJ got in touch with one of their (BH) ranks before he got killed(BH founder in-law precisely)? Now, why cant any of you asked what transpared then and what feedback did your government get and what did they do about it or 'trying' to do?
Now, all you can say now is 'old fool talking rubbish' (chei! Dia is God ooo) but never the less an illitrate is better than half educated because thats our problem on this forum which is annoying.

  18. It is unbelievable that educated Nigerians are becoming fools who cannot comprehend simple expression. Why the insult on the persons of OBJ. Who takes the glory if the girls are released? On whose behalf will OBJ go into the negotiations? We should come to the cold fact the the Fed. Govt is inept if our combined armed forces can not find over 200 people kidnapped and taken to a forest after two months. They are treating ordinary dissent as an army of occupation. Are u going to resurrect those that have been killed?

    1. Am not a fan of OBJ but u have said the right thing..... Negotiations cannot hold without the nod from FG as terms and conditions would be laid out. We only insult each other in this forum without proffering solutions.

    2. You are the one who should reason with your brain and not your anus. hope you are not the type who believes everything he/she hears? which evidence to you have that OBJ actually approached the FG and he has not been given a go ahead, NON. OBJ's newest style is to write letters, so where is the letter to that effect? Everyone just wants to politicize the chibok issue, attention seeking fools.

  19. But U did not wait for Jonathan's go ahead when U invited the ffamilies & friends of BH members to Otta Farms. May be U want the Federal Govt award the release of the girls as a contract to U wher U'll have the opportunity of submitting a bill as a consultant. Well, nothing is too big to spend to bring back the girls, President Jonathan, pls give Obas the go ahead.i

    1. Because we don't believe he actually approached the presidency and was turned down, he's just saying this to make the presidency look bad. he's of recent always writing letters to president and publishing it, so where is the letter to that effect? probably he discussed it with his fellow boko haram member and forgot to write to the president. old fool. he's so irrelevant now and it's paining him so much, he desperately needs to seek attention.

  22. Evil Genius in our midst - OBJ. No doubt if recall the testimony of Kashumu on how OBJ persuaded him and others to work against GEJ, you will know he might have hand in Boko Haram to get back to GEJ.

    ReplyDelete
  23. obj is absolutely right if u understand gej body language. gej is an unserious leader that ever lived on earth. a shame to humanity, clueless, dumb and deaf. some of the girls will never come back for those that are intelligent enough to get first hand information. gej is even making everything more complicated day in and day out toward the release of these girls. i petty this country in the hand of gej. he doesnt even know what is happening in aso rock. obj knws how and where to get facts on what is happening. what obj said is the bloody simple facts. read gej body language and u will know surely he doesnt knw what to do. confused and indecisive. it's unfortunate.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why are insulting OBJ? He is elder statesman and need to be respected. Is GEJ that need to be sensitive and use appropriate people to assist him. To me GEJ is not ready to stop Boko Haram.

    ReplyDelete
  25. When the stupid president we av says the parents should go and meet BH by themselves. Its a shame. OBJ should relax until our uncapable presidency gives thier support. Welldone OBJ.

    ReplyDelete
  26. PEOPLE ARE NOT BE SINCERE TO OBJ, THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS GEJ AND FG DOESN'T WANT THE GIRLS RELEASE BY THERE SAVAGE ABDUCTORS. THE OTHER TIME FG THROUGH HER CHIEF OF DEFENSE STAFF SAID THEY KNEW WHERE THE GIRLS ARE, BUT THEY WON'T USE FORCE TO RESCUE THE GIRLS SO HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE THEM TO STRATEGIZE ON HOW TO RESCUE THE ABDUCTED GIRLS WITHOUT THE USE OF FORCE OR IS IT WHEN ALL GIRLS ARE PREGNANT OR HAVE BEEN MOVED TO NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES THAT WHEN THEY WILL TELL US ANOTHER STORY AS USUAL. OBJ IS BEEN FACTUAL ABOUT THE SAGA ANY RIGHT THINKING PERSON KNOWS WHAT THE SAVAGES CALL BH DO AMONG WHICH OBJ MENTION FEW. OR DID PEOPLE EXPECT OBJ TO START NEGOTIATING WITH THE DEMONS WITHOUT FG's NOD WHY IS THE PRESIDENT FINDING HARD TO GIVE WELL MEANING PEOPLE THE GO AHEAD TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE ABDUCTORS SO AS TO FACILITATE THE RELEASE OF THE GIRLS, WHY! WHY!!. IS EITHER THE PRESIDENT IS BEHIND THE MENACE OR DOESN'T CARE BECAUSE NONE OF DAUGHTER OR RELATIVE IS INVOLVE.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That OBJ knows Boko Haram shows that he is part of them. This negotiation is business.

  31. Pa Obasanjo's statement is a confirmation of my assertion in a speech I delivered on June 12 that all our leaders are culpable. Read the exerpt below:Since the botched 1993 June 12 best election in Nigeria and World Democracy by Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, (Nigeria Maradona), democracy of tit for tat has not ceased in Nigeria. Dishonesty and corruption are in the increase. We are done with the havoc of Boko Haram. With the advent of Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria, let us ask them, the Nigeria play makers (our leaders) – Obasanjo, Buhari, Babangida, Jonathan, Atiku, Tinubu, Sanusi Lamido, Nigeria Northern Governors, PDP, APC to where are they driving Nigeria? With about 300 innocent souls in the den of Boko Haram, the death of thousands of souls by Boko Haram in the Noth, and continual bombing and killing by the insurgency, what hope is there for Nigeria? Let me say it loud and clear, our leaders are culpable. Obasanjo, Buhari, Babangida, Jonathan, Atiku, Tinubu, Sanusi Lamido, Northern Governors, PDP, APC, they are culpable.
God will surely send His Angels to release our girls if our leaders fail to act appropriately.
