Tompolo ordered my freedom - Clark's son

Ebikeme Clark, son of Ijaw national leader, Chief Edwin Clark, who was kidnapped last Wednesday, has regained his freedom from hostage.

Ebi, as he is fondly called, reportedly got his freedom from his kidnappers at about 12am on Sunday unconditionally.

Narrating how his freedom came about, Ebi told NE sources in Warri on Sunday that it took the intervention of ex-militant leader, Tompolo and one Chief Boro Opudu, for the kidnappers to release him.

He said his experience while he was kept a hostage was not pleasant, adding that he was kept in a community near Bayelsa state.

“They were ordered by their leader, Chief Tompolo to free me and one Chief Boro Opudu. I was freed 12 mid night today ( Sunday). No ransom was paid. They have people they listen to or they lose their lives. I can’t give you full details now.

“It couldn’t have been pleasant. All I know is that they have people in the community aiding them to keep people. You eat anything you are given and you don’t expect it to be good enough. I was taken to a community somewhere near Bayelsa State”, Ebi said.

Spokesman of Chief Clark, Dickson Bekederemo, also said Ebikeme got his freedom without payment of ransom.

He said he accompanied the Delta Waterways Security to pick the released Ebi where his kidnappers dropped him.

“He was released at about midnight and they gave him N5000 to transport himself out of the community in Bomadi where they dropped him. He was released unconditionally and he is good health”, Bekederemo said

  1. What a country? So Tompolo is the leader of Ijaw kidnappers. What a Zionists system we are running! "GOVERNMENT EKPOMUPOLO TOMPOLO- A CRIMINAL- WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE" was the bold caption on Tompolo's picture pasted at various JTF checkpoints. Tompolo is now a multi billionaire and the owner of a private jet- courtesy of GEJ. And now this.

    1. Listen, Tompolo did not send them to kidnap anyone. There are lways pockets of criminals that operate to make some money. Tompolo is too rich to be ordering kidnapping for ransom. However, he was a militant leader before Amnesty, and by default is still respected nd held that way. I tell you, as leaders many such top militants can swing into action to put errant boys in order. He is still respected. He ordered the release not because he sent them, but because he has the power to intervene and save the situation. Ofcourse, we could all do without these kidnappings! Tompolo and other top ex-militants should do more. Thanks.

  6. For Tompolo to have ordered his release it means Tompolo is the kidnapper and it was really a family affair. Clark et al armed these guys for their selfish interest sometimes ago.

  8. yes, good and evil and criminality walks hand in hand in Nigeria, and yet we are all suprised on why our society is full of so much evil, the good has been compromised, it's just a mere spectator to the monsters that are about to devour our country. The released youngman attested to this, so will his father, Edwin Clark "They have people they listen to or they lose their lives" this youngman's old man also know most of these people, they are fellows of the same plunmmage, sooner or later they will be asking for more blood sacrifice.

  9. Quite ridiculous, dehumanising that we av dis nature of monsters in our midst without d law going after them while some others are being hung to death for same offence. Now its crystal clear who Tompolo is. The question is WHO IS NOW TO ARREST HIM? Heaven forbid that I vote for jonathan whose under nose has bcme d den of abuse of power, corruption, and death of innocent citizens
