World Cup 2014: Portugal, France, Ghana through to Brazil

The World Cup play-offs have been completed, as Portugal, France, Greece, Croatia, Ghana and more qualified.

This evening the final games were played to secure spots at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Cristiano Ronaldo comfortably won the huge battle with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, bagging a hat-trick as Portugal won 3-2 in Sweden.

Although Ibra netted a brace, the Portuguese side swept through 4-2 on aggregate.

France fought back from their shock 2-0 first leg defeat to Ukraine, winning 3-0 in Paris with Mamadou Sakho, Karim Benzema and an Oleh Gusev own goal.

Greece qualified 4-2 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in Romania. Inter transfer target Konstantinos Mitroglou was on target again and they went through despite Roma defender Vasilis Torosidis scoring a bizarre own goal.

Croatia played the entire second half with 10 men, but still beat Iceland 2-0 to book their spot in Brazil. Mario Mandzukic scored, got himself sent off for a high tackle, and then saw Darijo Srna secure victory.

In the African qualifying rounds, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Cameroon are joined by Ghana and Algeria.
