We will show the world the 'One-Term Agreement' document signed by Jonathan - New PDP threatens

The New Peoples Democratic Party has threatened to make public the document signed by President Goodluck Jonathan, in which he allegedly agreed to serve only one term in office as the President of the country.

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP faction, Mr. Chukwuemeka Eze, told our correspondent on the telephone in Abuja on Friday, that the agreement would be made public as soon as the President declared his intention to run for a second term.

Jonathan had, during the Presidential Media Chat last Sunday, challenged the New PDP to prove that he agreed to a one-term tenure by publishing the agreement.

Eze said, “When he decides to contest and the party directs accordingly, all the facts relating to his signing any document or making any promise that he would serve one single tenure would then come to the fore.”

Eze said the President would one day realise that he was surrounded by enemies, adding that by that time, it would be too late for the President to correct his mistakes.

He said, “This crisis (in the PDP) is orchestrated by some people in Jonathan’s cabinet and some of his aides. Most of these people apart from being opportunists don’t know what it is to serve the people.

“Instead, their pockets are what matter to them and in order to achieve their selfish agenda, they are ready to do anything to block anybody with sound ideas on how to improve our country.

“Sadly, Mr. President gives them much room to operate and they have succeeded in ruining his plans for the country and succeeded in creating more enemies for Mr. President than friends.

“I don’t want to mention names here but most of the people with President Jonathan are more of his enemies than his friends. He will eventually realise this when it is very late.”

Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Mr. Ahmed Gulak however insisted that there was no one-term pact in existence.

According to him, the New PDP may forge a document just to prove a point.

He said, “We have debunked this claim. We challenged them eight months ago and we are still challenging them. Even if it means forging it, let them bring it for us to see.”

    1. Its a war strategy, you fool. Jonathan is more selfish than them and PDP doesn't belong to him. Those guys are the real owners of the party. They were only clamouring for a level playing field. Let them give a run for his money.

  4. People talk as if Jonathan is the only eligible person to contest the number one seat. Beside Jonathan is just like a tenant in PDP , when the owner's said they agree only one term with them if he insists let him go and actualise his ambition where else or advisably let him foam another party since he has the resources to do it.

  5. Absolute rubbish. Even if the president had made such a commitment, is not entitled to change his mind? After all Buhari at one time vowed not to contest for the presidency again, Has he not since changed his mind? Does that make him a bad man? The answer is of course NO. The so called new PDP should refrain from blackmail or we Nigerians will start seeing them as desperate people whose sole aim is to grab power for selfish purposes.

  14. All these G7 governors are all corrupt Nigerian politicians and all they are looking for is an avenue to display the money they all stole from their respective states . They pretend to love Nigeria as a country when they could not show such love to their own state by using the fund at their disposal to develop their states rather they prefer stealing . Did Nigerians ask you to sign any agreement with GEJ on our behalf? Who are you to make such devilish and selfish agreement if such exists? Greedy politicians you have ended up cheating yourselves .So you were the hidden Nigerians who did not want GEJ to take the mantle of leadership when our former president Shehu Musa Yaradua died . Your selfish ideology has eventually exposed you . As far as Nigerians are concerned your one term agreement is null and void .

  15. @anonymous:2:19pm:How can people in the north or me and Khalid speak ill or point accussing fingers at boko haram while everyone of us including an empty skul like you know quite ok that it‘s your wicked and evil-minded brother (gej) and some of he‘s irresponsible, unreasonable and drunkards cabinet members that are rensponsible for the misfortunes that is happening in the north in disguise with boko haram just to achieve his selfish and political ambitions. With all the security personel, sophiscatate wepons and ammunations at his diposal, who in his real senses will take the risk of pointing accussing finger at him so as to give him a reason with the excuse of sending the military against the persons or to accuse been a member of boko haram. But one good things i‘m really sure of, not long from now nemesis will surely catch up with him and he will surely account for all this destructions of our lands, wastening of our resources, killing and spilling of our innocent blood and souls. It really baffled me how an idiots like you felt to realize, accept and speak the simple truth, what a shameless and irresponsible fellows we have for a leaders. An idiots that trade innocent bloods for power!
