Anti-Christ tweets: CAN prescribes psychiatric test for el-Rufai

The Christian Association of Nigeria on Sunday asked the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, to go for a psychiatric test to ascertain his sanity following his recent attacks on Jesus Christ and the leadership of Christians in Nigeria.

The association said that el-Rufai must within seven days mention the name of the person who bought a private jet for its President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, failure which the former minister’s “dirty life” would be exposed by CAN.

The Head of TEKAN/ECWA Block in CAN, Rev. (Dr.) Emmanuel Dziggau; and CAN’s National Director of Research, Planning and Strategy, Elder Sunday Oibe in a statement obtained by The PUNCH in Abuja said they were reacting to a newspaper interview granted by the ex-FCT minister in which he abused the President of CAN and his credibility.

The statement said, “We can no longer fold our hands and allow Christian leaders to be abused by no person than el-Rufai. We can no longer take it; enough is enough. Anytime he abuses Christian leaders and Jesus Christ, we Christians will let him know that he has many forces to contend with.”

“The fact that el-Rufai in his tweets abused our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and Christians ignored him doesn’t give him the impetus to make unguarded comments about Pastor Ayo (Oritsejafor) who is the leader of Christians in Nigeria. As Christians, we respect other faith and never have we abused the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111, who is the leader of Muslims in Nigeria. The fact that Christians are not violent doesn’t mean he should go far with his utterances. He is not in a position to tell us who should be the leader of Christians in Nigeria.”

CAN also reminded a former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) that his problem with the country was el-Rufai and not himself.

“It was this same el-Rufai that was abusing Buhari when he was in the cabinet of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo that is now fighting ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Obasanjo.

“We are giving el-Rufai seven days ultimatum to inform Nigerians and the world the person he claims to know that gave Pastor Ayo his private Jet. If he fails to do that, we will open up on him and his dirty life. El-Rufai stinks to the highest heaven. He is morally depraved and lacks credibility.”

  1. Why wount el rufai comment when the leadership of the church in Nigeria has become another political party, let the CAN president dedicate and concentrate himself to the preaching of Jesus Christ and the Bible

  2. Hahahahaa.... I laugh! El-Rufai "stinks"??
Christianity is a religion, therefore, it is resentful to condemn it! Note that. Besides, there is the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. So why should you abuse any religion even if it doesn't appeal to urs? Even, it is Islamically intolerable.
CAN! U too cool down ooo....wetin dey happen now? The threat is getin much..

  3. If any Christian abuses mohamed and sultan muslims will take to the street. I feel the sultan and other muslim leaders should call him to order. What you do not want others to do to you, do not do it to others, that is the golden rule. Christians can also choose to critize both mohamed and sultan as this man elrufai does to Christ and CAN Leader.

I'm not sypathizing with whoever El-Rufai attacks, but when it comes to other people's religion, he should just shut up.
I'm a muslim & never was taught by any of my scholars that that is the way to go.
I don't understand why some people are jst bent on ruining this country.*smh*

  11. There is no day i dont weep for this country,a country every1 in govt struggles only for what he can put in d pocket. The country'll surely crash. Its just a matter of time.It shocks to see somebody like el rufai criticize/condemn .el rufai in 2006 was a mein fuhrer. He pulled down peoples houses wt reckless abandon. He was an emperor. No one talked to him,he listened to none.At Abuja airport road alone,he pulled down over 1000 houses. Many people were impoverished. At a point,i began to think he wd remain incharge of fct forever,i guess he thought so as well. Many comments of religious/tribal sentiments were often attributed to him. These overzealousness/anti-people/tribal exuberance,i believe, were bc he was part of those milking d country dry by national cake-sharing.His wahala started when his mouth was pulled off d milk source...each time he condemns others,am simply reminded of d problems dt has be-deviled this country

  14. I will not agree that he abuse Jesus because abusing jesus is the same as abusing prophet Muhammad in Isalam, but abusing Can President is a different thing as he is making CAN a political party other than religious body

  15. I don't think Nasiru El Rufa'i will have the slightest guts' to utter an abusive comments over prophet Isa AS because he knows the consequences of such action as it will consume him and what he stands for. But over his comments in respect of CAN Chairman that one na there problem. This CAN chief sef.

  16. Am a product of Missionary school in IJEBU ODE in Ogun State, politics apart I don't see any justification for the jet bought or gave to our Religious leaders, am a Christian, there a lot of people suffering in this country, the money for the jet could be used for other things, not for Christians alone, but the entire people, that is what Christians were known for. During our time in MISSIONARY school, there were mixture of religion even traditionalist yet the church catered for all, but now negative is the case . CHRISTIAN leaders retrace your steps and leave active politics for politicians, you are the voice of masses, and respected in the society, don't drag yourself in mould because of worldly things. what is the benefit the CONGREGATION will derive from JET? GOD IS WATCHING. ABO ORO LA MA SO FUN OMO LUABI. Stand to be criticized.

  17. Islam is not christianity. Being a muslim and being a christian differ. I am non of them. I belong to African Traditional Religion. But permit me to say that the way and manner muslim practice Islam, if that is what is expected of the by their holy prophet and Quaraan, it is a disaster. They will kill, they will maim innocent people, they will enter into places of Christian worship and kill. Is this a religion? Muslims cause more than 95% of the troubles in the world. I can only understand it that they are playing the script called Quaran. El-Rufai is dancing the Awilo dance of his inspiational book. Anyday Christians do anything irrational, i will say it. When they were contending against Islamic bank, i told them it is bad belle. Let them also establish Christian bank if they wish. El-Rufai, respect those that should be respected in our sosciety.Don't blaspheme Jesus Christ bcause if they do it Mohammed, u will go and mobilize those illitrates and give them amunition and name them Haram boko.
