The co-founder of World Liberation Gospel Church, Benin, Edo State, Prophetess Gertrude Nkasiobi, has filed for divorce, following accusations of infidelity by her husband, Apostle Michael Nkasiobi.
Prophetess Nkasiobi, who is a former banker, said her other reason was because her has been beating her husband since they got married in October 2007.
She told reporters that she decided to report the matter at the Police Area Command in Benin City as her husband has vowed to ridicule and destroy her.
“He accused me of being a prostitute after we broke away from our former church, Bible Christian Ministry, he told me, ‘I will ridicule and I will destroy you”.
She added that all attempts to get family members on both sides to intervene failed.
Apostle Nkasiobi said he was in a meeting and promised to respond later.
