Being a celebrity comes with much responsibilities of which includes parting with some naira notes as situation presents especially when celebs get stuck in the midst of loving fans.
Ayodeji Balogun a.k.a Wizkid was today stoned by angry fans at the VFS Global Services, Lekki phase 1 over the Azonto Crooner’s arrogant attitude and his refusal to part away with some naira notes despite the much accolades he got from the cheering crowd who were so elated to catch a glimpse of their Superstar.
Wizkid who was dressed in a White T-shirt and a Red Sofa Shoe came in a black Porshce Cayenne with covered number plates, the starboy who must have been sneaked into the VFS Compound came out into the waiting hands of a large number of cheering fans who wanted to shake and snap pictures with Wizkid and they obviously wanted some naira notes as well.
According to report, Wizkid came outside the VFS Compound where he had gone to submit travelling documents for Canada and shunned the cheering crowd.
All efforts to get Wizkid to snap pictures, shake or even show “some love” financially to the cheering crowd fell on deaf ears as Starboi completely ignored everyone as he walked arrogantly into the waiting Porsche Cayenne.
Witnesses at the scene confirmed that Wizkid’s silence and arrogant attitude got the cheering fans pissed hence, they resulted into stoning him as he made to drive out.
Unfortunately for Wizkid, one of the many stones caught his car side glass but the singer did not wait a second.
Poor people waiting for small BOY (WIZKID) to through his hard earn money to them is it easy. They should go and find something doing rather than waiting for alms. Were the lazy fools there when he was hustling for his life? Have they forgotten the Bible injunction, that no food for a lazy man or woman.

Artistes should always know that fans made them who they are not in anyway by their handworks! He should even thank God he was not attacked physically! Even if he had hailed them like 2Baba would always do,they would have shown him love! Let him do that in my neighborhood Mushin,we go show am!

ReplyDeleteFew words would have saved him this episode. Thinking that it is his hard earned money is a very myopic way to reason. na money dem dey take make money. Ordinary 'UNA TOO MUCH, LUV U ALL' one or two pics is ok. This is how stars fall from the sky. It is bcos these low life as sum may call them luvs his music that he get the deals he is getting with the multi-national companies. The day they start rejecting his music and liking sum other guy, contract end and wizi go fizzle.

ReplyDeleteWatch the white people as they are always out there hailing their stars.Have you ever seen these Stars walk away from their fans without at least a snap or a perk on the cheek.We always think that hailing a celebrity means you want their money.That is why I'm not crazy about no celebrity. Wizkid should try and respect his fans,because no matter what they made him.That he has made it today does not mean he is going to be that forever.
