Why Patience Jonathan Travelled Overseas

Why Patience Jonathan Travelled Overseas.

The office of the first lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, Monday, said the visit of the first lady to Germany and other European countries was for routine medical check up as well as to visit her ailing mother and there is no need for negative insinuation as is being done in the media.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the first lady Ayo Osinlu Monday urged Nigerians to develop the habit of praying for their leaders as is done in other countries.

According to the aide of the first lady, “It is unfortunate that again, some media houses have allowed themselves to be used by dedicated mischief makers against the basic tenet of professional journalism, which regards truth as sacred.

He noted that “for the avoidance of doubts and ambiguities, we wish to state that the First Lady travelled to Dubai, after which she proceeded to Paris, France, to participate in the 1st Green Women Conference, which took place in Paris on March 17, 2013 where she received the 2013 Global Women Leaders’ Award for Peace.

“She thereafter proceeded to Italy from where she went to Germany to see her mother, Mama Sisi, who is currently receiving medical attention.

“The First Lady is spending sometime overseeing the management of her mother’s condition.

“She is also using the opportunity to spend quality time with her holidaying children before they return to school, as they are with her to see their grandmother.

“It is notable that Her Excellency has a history of visiting the hospital in Germany even before she became the First Lady, thus making her medical trips routine.

It is also instructive to state that medical experts have recommended that every human being should undergo medical check up every six months, even if not suffering ill health.

“Therefore, hospital visitations of our leaders should not become leading media issues or attract disrespectful comments, just as the current circumstances of former President Mandela and other African leaders in similar situations, and even those who died, have not attracted negative comments from their people.

“While urging a more charitable disposition towards one another as our brothers’keepers, we wish to express our appreciation for the sincere interests of those who have shown genuine concern through their inquiries” he said.

  2. Who is this inept idiot holding brief for the idiotic woman? Did Mandela travel out of south Africa for medical check up? All these our useless leaders that do nothing for the common man and live like kings, deserve no sympathy. When we don't have facilities that can carter for our ill health and these selfish devils travel to Dubai to treat headache. Pls my guy park well, who gives a hoot if they all die. Besides, what benefit are we getting when they are alive other than a looted treasury and a failed nation. In fact God punish all of them, nah sickness go kill them one after the other.

  3. annonymous 9;14 pm , your own too much. I am a muslim from the north, we believe that GOD ALMIGHTY doesn't choose leaders anyhow or elsewhere but from among yourselves. We need prayers to change this present situation not this type of comment. people need to change and pray, desist from religious bigotry (PDP tool), ethno-tribal egoism, etc then there comes salvation INSHA ALLAH.

    1. Mr muslim from the north, if u choose 2 kneel & pray whilst these people rob us blind, don't think u are better than this person who is saying enough is enough!we need affirmative action in this country. God is in America, Europe,Middle East, South-Africa etc but do u see them tolerate corruption? and how do u rate their people, economy and future? Nigeria,God everywhere, churches everywhere, muslim fundamentalists, traditional juju etc still no good has come out of it. Mandela too believed in God when he took up the fight for his people,or did u think he never prayed?

  7. Patience in Dubai, France, Germaney. Mama Patience (Sisi) also in Germany, and all the Children in holidays abroad. What is wrong in this country? We are about to spend billions of Naira in celeberating 100 years of existence, yet we don't have a trustable medical fecilities! SHAME to all our leaders-past and present. None of them suppose to live!

  8. I see our leaders refuse to learn even from xperience. The first lady had an elaborate tnxgiving service recently attented by high & mighty. If her life & health is so important, do we not all have one life? Should our hospitals not be better equipped? Should our roads not be improved from been death traps? We keep loosing our brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers e.t.c daily on these roads. Vibrant promising citizens get maimed & paralized daily bcos of accidents on these roads. Should we not have light & good drinking water? Why all these wickedness from our leaders? There is need for a drastic turn around if this country is to start heading for a better future. Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria, Amen.

  9. Ayo Osinlu's statement on Nigerians praying for leaders is a completely irresponsible one. He's known to peddle deliberate falsehood around and that qualifies him as a liar.

What explanations does he have as to the lies he told previously on Patience Jonathan's health on which she herself came back to confess otherwise? And he thinks he has the standing to talk again and be believed? This one must be another joker and only God knows where and how these no-do-gooders are bred.

  11. What do we say? Is there anything we can do? Human govt has failed but that of Nigeria is a total disappointment. When shall we learn? Our hope remains in God.

  12. Arrant Non-sense! The 1st Lady travels to Dubai, then to Paris to attend 1st green women conference. This stupid program she's wasting our money to attend, in what way will it be useful to us ( Nigerians ). She is also going to Germany for her " routine " medical check-up. Has she asked herself how many Nigerians can afford a routine medical check-up in Nigeria let alone travelling abroad. You people ( Nigerian Leaders )keep putting us backward for your selfish interest. What a rubbish and stupid country you have made this nation to be. You keep making Nigeria to be big for nothing, making us a laughing stock among other nations. Why are our hospitals not working? Hugo Chavez was treated in Cuba before he died, not because they ( Venezuela ) don't have good facilities but because he was avoiding critics from his country men. She ( Patience Jonathan ) will also receive award for peace. What a RIDICLE? Let her and her confused husband continue to make mockery of themselves. FOOLS!

  15. Nigeria, why are we complaining? and blowing big grammer everyday, we know that this method cannot help us, we need to take every radical method to get rid of the situation. like it was done in egypt, tunisia, libya. burma, russia, ukraine. geogia, etc. Our leaders are use to be reading and hearing big grammers everyday. If everybody will one go out on street to protest radically, they must surely put a stop to their criminal acts against the nation NIGERIA.

  17. Please my dear country people, watch your tongues. Why are all of you talking with anger. Is this the first time such things are happening? What did the word of God says concerning our leaders? Remember you all will become a leader one day either by head of a family, community, even in our places of work, governor etc.By then we shall see if you will take your wives, children and relatives to nigerian teaching hospitals. God will remind you then when you were talking about our leaders. Do you think it's easy running round the country every now and then? To take care of a wife, four children, driver and house help is a tug of war, because by the time you will talk and talk and yet they are not taking instructions, how much more a whole country. full of population.

Our leaders are really trying wether good or bad. if you like be the best president or governor, yet criticism will come. Most of us will do worst than this in our own time. An adage says " If you want to know how faithful a man is, give him/her power" then you will see the outcome.

All we need in this country is prayer and God's intervention so that we can get good social amenities than for us to be travelling now and then.
Please take it easy, we all feel the pain. It is well

fellow people,I dont see any need why you all are questioning the where about of the First Lady, how is it an inch you bizness, instead of you to pray for her to get well you all are talking as if u suffer frm diarrhea of the mouth, are they the only ones that have spent your taxes? if you have your own monies you too can travel for medical checkups, don't develop unnecessary headache just keep praying for Nigeria.
