PICTURE: Goldie Harvey's Autopsy Report

Report following the autopsy carried out after her sudden death at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos revealed that late Goldie Harvey suffered a terminal ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which resulted to’ intracerebellar haemorrhage.’

Goldie’s autposy was carried out at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja and the report was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole.

It will be recalled that Goldie died on the 14th of February 2013, just hours after she arrived from Los Angeles where she had gone to attend the Grammy Awards.

According to http://www.strokecenter.org, Intracerebral hemorrhage occurs when a diseased blood vessel within the brain bursts, allowing blood to leak inside the brain. The sudden increase in pressure within the brain can cause damage to the brain cells surrounding the blood. If the amount of blood increases rapidly, the sudden buildup in pressure can lead to unconsciousness or death.
