Personnel of the Hisbah Board have been conducting raids around Kano city aimed at arresting Muslims who intentionally refused to observe fasting since the month of Ramadan commenced almost 20 days ago.
The offenders who included women had been arrested in various hot spots across the metropolis by the plain cloth personnel of the Hisbah command.
If people are moderately compelled to obey God's commandments, life will be better.

ReplyDeleteTaliban version 0.2. What happened to the constitutional provision to freedom of worship. Should even a Muslim be compelled to carry out religious injunctions? Is worship not based on conviction? This is a dangerous precedent and human right violation and should be challenged. surprisingly the Hisbah commander is a lawyer who seems to be in need of further training.

ReplyDeleteThis is the height of stupidity. Is it now by force to fast? A lot of Muslims are fanatics & this is why this country is the way it is now. Any religion that deprived a person of his or her fundamental right of choice is not worthy to be called a religion. GOD HELP US. FRANK
