Residents in Lagos on Thursday witnessed an unusual heavy downpour that started on Wednesday night, causing massive floods in parts of the city.
Many people woke up in the morning to the task of draining water out of their living rooms and shops.
Road users were forced to return home or seek alternative routes while others remained at the spot, waiting for the flood to abate.
A portion of Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road by Mobil Filling Station was submerged, as were some areas in Aguda, Surulere, Victoria Island, Mafoluku, Oshodi with streets occupied with heavy flood, causing slow traffic.

This is a serious problem in this country, any time there is serious downpour it affects many building, roads and even cause people not to go out for their businesses for that day. The worst is it will drawn many people.

We need underground drainage system in this country...let the government do something now!
