Dispelling rumours of the First Lady's involvement with Dana plane crash

I am responding to the rumor mongers because of the involvement of the script writers of those that wish to heat up the polity of Nigeria at every event or given opportunity. Like they have always done, using every opportunity to make Nigeria ungovernable. Why would a group of people in different disguises want to play politics with this sad event just to get back to political rivals or superiors?

This morning, reports from one Ade Atobatele....Information Technology and Services has filtered the air. Don't know which of the firms that is, claimed that the Dana Airline misfortune was caused by the closure of airspace for the first lady's aircraft. He was quoted as saying he was informed by a pilot of a private Jet that also had to hover in the air for 2 hours 15mins before the airspace opened for landing. He has conned his story that the social, electronic and print media has started reporting it without verifying his source.
Let Ade Atobatele (if he does exist) and Nigerians know that the Nigerian Air space can only be closed for 10 minutes only when an Aircraft conveying the President approaches an airport and 10 minutes after landing. A total accumulation of 20 minutes by regulations. And let Ade and Nigerians also note that the Air space can never be closed for an aircraft conveying the first lady or any other individual in Nigeria. Let Nigerians know that regulations gives a code red preference to any aircraft on "May Day" (in danger) distress against any other aircraft even if it's presidential. A presidential will be asked to divert towards a military airbase in case of a conflict in interest of landing. As we are aware, flight 0992 had called for MAY DAY 11mins before its ETA (estimated time of arrival) at 11 mins, the aircraft had prepared for landing. No aircraft is allowed to prepare for landing in an airspace that is closed. 20mins to landing, an aircraft as large as the boeing MD-83 can only commence descend from its cruise altitude.
Where then is the logic in Ade's story?
Let Ade also take note that the traffic control unit at the airport has confirmed that the air space was actually closed for 15mins for the Dana Air flight 0992 to perform an emergency landing before the unfortunate incidence.
Please I admonish all readers to disregard the allegation against the office and person of the First lady in their attempt to incite Nigerians.
Remember not to act or play part of the script written by those that promised to make Nigerian.
While we all pray that the Good Lord grants Nigerians and most especially the families of those that lost their lives to the sad incident the fortitude to bear the loss.

The Allegations.

"Is there any way of getting confirmation about news I'm just getting that the Dana plane was distressed for a while but could not make an emergency landing because the airspace was closed for 2 hours for - the Presidential Jet carrying Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan
Private jet owners who had to hover in the air same time leaked this. This was apparently the reason local news didn't report the crash for so long till CNN and foreign news stations started reporting it.
Local news was 'blacked out' trying to kill the story of the airspace being closed while a distressed plane couldn't land. It would be shocking if so.
Though there was engine failure there was still time for the plane to have landed apparently. You do know anyway that the airspace is closed for up to 2hours each time the Presidential Jet needs to go into the air? 2 hours for a 15minute take off or landing! And this jet is used by President, VP, President's wife and if I recall David Mark. It's almost a daily occurrence I've been told by airline staff when it caught me out on a trip."

  1. Saying the airspace can only be closed for 20minutes is total rubbish. I have been held up in the air before for about one hour because of the "President". You do not refute Ade Atobatele's story by bamboozling him and us. The only way to override such a story is to confirm that the first lady was not actually flying at about that time. Otherwise there seem to be a lot of truth in all the stories we have heard so far about the excesses of those in the corridors of power.

  2. If this is true, then its terrible!

  3. There is an element of truth in the story .

  4. Its like the first lady has improved in her ENGLISH. IF THEY CAN CLOSE COMMON ROAD, HOW MUCH MORE AIR SPACE. there must be an atom of truth in that story. I hope the next story will not be that ADE is dead?

  5. There is an element of truth in the story .

  6. The faulty plane should not have flied in the first place... This is terribly sad and what we are all arguing about is medicine after death, the plane was not in good shape period.

  7. Nobody can confirm the condition of the point of crashing but if we are to say the truth on countless occassion in abuja ve been involved in the stoppage of traffic cos one corrupt dignitary is on his way to the airport or the president is schedule to fly. All this corroborate the ade atobatele's claim. The link making round sayong all he said is hearsay has no Whε̲̣̣̣̥яε̲̣̣̣̥ Ʊ can make comment so wat are we say it looks like a newly developed site for the purpose. Anyway Almighty is watching over each and everybody's action

  8. OMG!! Am interested in this gist..

    Its possible only if there is trace that the First lady planned to visit Lagos on Sunday or Monday;

if the 3rd mainland bridge can be closure for first lady, i doubt if this is not true.

Its hi-time Nigerians take the bull by the horn and stop this intimidation from those in power.

  9. If the First Lady flew that route on that day, she would have flown in the Presidential Jet. And would of course have been treated like the president was onboard. I wouldn't say she caused it, but the crisis might have been averted if the 20 minutes viz 2 hours bullshit preference is not given.
Why should the airspace be closed because of the president? Some regulations are just absolutely out of the way.

  10. I was thinking the First Lady will say she was never in the Air on Sunday 3rd June.well it obvious the First lady also had a hand in this.It is inevitable Machines, even Human develop un-notified faults but in the case of emergency landing, maybe if the First Lady and the foolish people at the station couldn't use their initiative to land DANA first..............then its a pity for us all in Naija.Doom is coming

  13. What Ade atobaltele is saying is common occurence to be held up in space . I personally witness one when travel from lagos to Abuja last year .The people on board ( those that travel locally twice in a week ) also confirm closure of airport for High Rank Government Officer ( Pres and his wife , VP . Sen. Pres. ).

However , i m not blaming this rule for purpose of safety and some other issues .

But when there is emergency or distress call from another plane other than Dignities , such rule should be aborted.

I will like First Lady to confirm that she was not travelling during that period . And this will solve the rumour.

However, if there is a record tomorrow that show First Lady was schedule to land during that period then God will punish them for not aborting the rule to save these 153 people.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION .

  14. Sincerely, av read the reaction of the first lady and find nothing cogent enough to exonorate her from blame. In deed the first lady did not deny the fact that she came to lagos that day. It is very wise and logical to belief Ade as the presidential Jet will always be prefrenced for landing irrespective of the occupant. Any how, Dame should realised that one day she will leave the exotic position and become a common person. Posterity will judge.

  15. It is obvious that Nigerians who profess to be godly people cannot obey simple instruction from GOD to obey and respect leaders.

We are all dancing around an important matter using the no-name quotes to spoil the mind of gentle and innocent citizens who does not have access to the internet against the leaders of our great nation.

The truth about the ill-fated aircraft (MD-83) that was produced by MD (company now grounded in US) in 1983 and delivered in 1984, commenced 1st flight in 1985, sold to Nigerian Airspace in 2009 (no spare parts in market). The fault were dictated and was meant for repairs and not for day-to-day normal flight, but for reasons yet to be explained to our waiting ears, the aircraft found it way through the very nose of our fellow Nigerian managing the arispace from Uyo to Abuja and then to Lagos.

This disaster was caused by our fellow Nigerians in collaboration with their so-called Indian investors and not the President wife visit to Lagos.

Before we got this information from Ade, rumours of some distorted quoted credited to the president wife had filtered the Nigerian airwaves to show our hateful we cant turn ourselves on the leader of our country.

If you are a church goer ask your pastors what is the outcome of such act, and as a muslim, ask your alfa the repercussion of such an act.

Hatred for GEJ had been passed to his entire family by some political tugs who promise to make Nigeria ungovernable and because we share the same idea of making Nigeria ungovernable with them, they are having our supports.

    NIGERIAN THINK

    GOD BLESS NIGERIA

  16. Why on God's earth will people choose to look at shadow instead of real Object !!!
Please Ade or whoever, your childish level of reasoning should tell you that you cant get a "Brand-New" parts for any car above 15years.
Are you aware the ill-fatted Boeing MD-83 in question is 22years old according to the CEO of Dana airline? where on earth did you expect them to source for a "Brand-New" parts to keep that craft air worthy??
Ade you should know this . . That ill-fatted craft is not Air-Worthy in the 1st Instance.

  17. Dana Air Plane Crash Issues .

    (1) Why do authority allow faulty plane( If it is true that the plane is faulty ) to take off ?

(2)Why not averted the crisis by abort special treatment of airport closure for Dignity (if it is true that First lady was onboard in presidential Jet ) by given priority to these 153 people .

I think problem of corruption and mis-use of power should be adressed in Nigeria if what read ( online ) is true to some extent.

I pray for Nigerians to get there way back to track lane .

I dont know what to say for country that record two diffferent plane crash within 48 hrs.

Can anybody in position of authority explain reason for these ?

  18. Ade is entitled to his opinion based on the freedom of speech, but not one has confirmed whether the airspace was actaully closed for that 2 hours or even 1 hour when there was a distress call from the ill- fated aircraft. In any case God knows the truth and the people involved know the truth. The best Judge is God , and when God begins to visit this nation , it will be dreadful.

We pray God will cleanse Nigeria from this Virus(Corruption)that is eating us up.

Get a life. If the allegation is false, God will judge.

  21. Excuse me first lady or not the plane should have been check properly before flying so pls don't blame the first lady instead blame the plane engineers and even the pilots b/cos they alone would know the condition and also the sound of the plane

    ReplyDelete
  22. How can you explain this, that a plane took off from Abuja 2:12pm for a 45mins flight crash landed @ about 3:41pm. That is about 1hr.35 min.
